MySpirit perfumes ~ gift idea for everyone in your life

MySpirit perfume

This is the third post I’m writing this year about MySpirit perfumes and I think it’s the last one for the year – although I’m not making any promises for 2018. I wrote a post introducing this Slovenian perfume brand in the late spring – you can read it *here*. Then, I did a lovely summer post about their perfume necklace – which I still wear at least a couple of times per week – that you can find *here*. Today, I want to discuss another cool idea they came up with that I find perfect for the upcoming holidays (by the way – I’m SO excited about December being just around the corner, how about you???).

Basically, giving a present can seem a bit impersonal at times, even if you put a lot of thought into it. It’s also quite a difficult task because you need to know the fragrances and the notes that your loved ones enjoy. But a quick peek around their bathroom can usually do the trick. As you surely know by now, you can find exact dupes of the most popular scents with MySpirit. But they took it a step further and you can personalize your gift with a sticker, showing that you were really thinking about this person when you were buying them the perfume.

MySpirit perfume stickers

At the moment, there are 12 different stickers available in their *online store* and you get them together with your perfume of choice. They can be sorted into general categories, but some – like *Thank you* – can be used on a number of occasions and for various different loved ones in your life. View Post

Brands I love: MySpirit Parfumi

Še vedno si rada občasno privoščim kakšen drug parfum, sploh kadar me pot zanese v L’Occitane, vendar pa svoje standardne vonje vedno izbiram v trgovini MySpirit.

MySpirit trenutno ponuja tri velikosti parfumov – 15ml, 30ml in 50ml.

Srečno in do naslednjič – ostani čudovita!

Be yourself, be different – with L’Occitane Arlésienne collection

I can’t believe that the Beautiful Bloggers meetup is really over for this year. I had an even better time this year, but truth be told, I need a day or two to process everything before I can summarize my thoughts into a nice, long post.

But I can talk for a moment about the theme of this years’ meetup: Be yourself … be an unicorn! Or, as someone put it even better: Be yourself. Unless you can be an unicorn – then always be an unicorn! I already spoke many times how I feel that it’s difficult to tell one beauty blog from another, since most of us write about similar products, shoot similar photos… there is no diversity.

And I plan to change that! I am making a promise to myself that I will make my blog different, unique and stand out from all others. I plan to keep that promise!

I was kind of motivated to write this post by L’Occitane. They are soon releasing a new Arlésienne collection and kindly gave us a sneak preview of the collection on Friday. The little package contained the Arlésienne Velvet Hand Cream and the Arlésienne delicious gloss, but more importantly, a challenge to be different. What was the challenge, you ask?

Well, I’m glad you asked. We all got a long, pink ribbon with the following instruction: “The decorative ribbon that Arlésienne woman (women from Arlese in the south of France) puts into her hair speaks a story about a bold woman, who is completely free. Each ribbon is unique and speaks its own language – the pattern on it is as unique as the woman who wears it in her hair.”

(Low) Maintenance Beauty Massive Haul – part 1 (face & body care, perfumes)

This post could have also been addressed – I flew, I bought, I conquered. And I am sorry that I’ve been gone this long, but workload before holidays was insane and I barely had the chance to pull it off before we flew to US.

Obviously, shopping wasn’t the sole purpose of the trip, but in the end me and my hubby bought way more stuff than we even thought possible. We flew to San Francisco with 28 lb of luggage between us (2 suitcases) and flew back with 148 lb + all the stuff that we packed in our carry-on bags. So yes, quite insane.

But the thing here is that you guys that live in the States probably have no idea how lucky you all are. The clothes from the brands we like (Banana Republic, GAP, Levi’s, VS, Abercrombie etc.) were so inexpensive that we bought enough clothes to last us at least a year. How lucky you are that you probably all live across the street from Bath & Bodyworks. I spent 2 hours in there and my only though now when I’m trying all the products out is that I should have bought another suitcase. And make-up…yes… but this is the story that we’ll get into a bit more in-depth.

I bought both drugstore and high-end make-up. Some I got because it was so ridiculously cheap compared to prices here in Slovenia (I will try to compare prices where I can). And some I bought because I wanted to try all the new, pretty, shiny brands that were attacking me from every corner. I will try to go over the purchases in the same order I would use them. So without further ado, here is THE haul.

FACE

I must say, that I am a bit skeptical about all these gadgets that supposedly make your face feel like newborns. So I didn’t go for the Clairsonic but instead opted for the less expensive version – the Olay Pro X. So far I must admit that I’m very impressed so this might just be a step towards actually getting the Clairsonic. But I can tell that I’m breaking out less and that’s what’s most important.

ProX also came with a pore scrub of some kind which I haven’t tried out yet. I also purchased a Neutrogena purifying pore scrub. First impression – not too crazy about it. It seems kind of difficult to wash off. But it’s early days still.

ProX cost about $30 , I’m not sure if you can get it in Slovenia. I did try to look for the Neutrogena scrub and couldn’t find it in my local drugstore.

Next up was Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel. This was a Sephora purchase and since it was so inexpensive, I actually bought 3 instead of just 1.

Just to give you an idea – this puppy cost $26 in Sephora. In Slovenia, I would have paid $64 for the same amount. So basically, I could say that I almost bough 3 for the price of one.

BTW, I don’t know why the prices of Clinique in Slovenia are so sky high. I must look into that. View Post
