I recently learned about this tag from a fellow blogger and I must say that it is quite a fun one, since it really will make you go through your collection and pick out the things you absolutely love the most. Basically, you choose your favorite cosmetics item for each of the letters in the alphabet, hence the A to Z name. Here are my favorites!
A – Avon Advanced Techniques leave-in conditioner. I have talked about it here already. It’s my favorite conditioner and I will continue to use it on a daily basis. It gives my hair a little bit of nutrition and leaves it silky and shiny for the day, with the added bonus of a great scent.
B – Benefit They’re real! mascara. I didn’t like this mascara at first but after I left it open for about a month, it quickly became my favorite. It gives a ton of volume and really holds the curl for the entire day. It’s beginning to flake a bit so I’ll probably have to let it go soon, but I will repurchase it as well.
C – Catrice All matt plus foundation. Some of you suggested I try a Catrice foundation and although I was sceptical at first, I’ve already gone through half of the bottle in a month. It has great coverage without feeling heavy and leaves my skin matte for hours without any touch-ups. My absolute favorite foundation of 2015 so far.
D – Dvorec Trebnik bath salts. I just happen to have the Marigold salts opened right now, but I’ve tried many different scents and have loved them all. I already wrote about it here. Honestly, I’ve never taken as many baths as I do now since I’ve discovered this brand!
E – Essence Longlasting lipliner. I’ve got a separate post about these lip liners coming up so I don’t want to reveal too much, but since I’m putting them among my favorites, you can guess that I’m absolutely in love with them!
F – ….. I don’t think I own a single product from a brand that would start with F. I could technically cheat, but I won’t 🙂
G – Gliss Kur Intensivkur. These come in all kinds of formulas and I probably love the Ultimate Repair (black line) the best. However I go through quite a few different ones every month and I always feel that it really does have an effect on my hair, making it less frizzy and nourished from within.
H – ….. Again, I found some products from the brands starting with H, but it seems to be an unfortunate letter for me, since I don’t love any of them.
I – I love… bubble bath and shower creme. These again can be bought in a number of scents and I haven’t had one that I wouldn’t love yet. Also, you get a ton of product for a budget price, so it’s an overall winner in my book.
J – ….. Nope, again an unfortunate letter.
K – Kerastase Elixir Ultime. I’ve bought this quite a while back but put in on hold until I had my deluxe sample of Morrocanoil in action. I’ve been using it for the last couple of weeks and I must say that I don’t see major differences compared to when I used the (quite much more expensive) Morrocanoil. Two pumps a day leave my hair nice and soft, plus give them some extra nutrition.
L – Lord & Berry eyeliner. This. You need this. I need a full size of this. I’ve already rambled about it here, so click on the link to learn more.
M – Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser. I probably should have included this in my post about concealers, but it really didn’t cross my mind, to be honest. However, this product goes where I go, since it’s perfect for touching up the under-eye area in a matter of seconds. It also covers any redness around the nose or in other areas with just a swipe, so it’s an absolute must for every purse.
N – Nivea In-shower Body Milk. This is my second bottle and I really should do a separate post on it. Moisturization is probably the one area where I really don’t find the time every day to do it properly and this in-shower milk has been a life saver for the past year. Again, I think you need it.
O – Ole Henriksen Truth serum colagen booster. Again, I’ve written a whole post about the Ole Henriksen skincare products, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I’m choosing Ole over an OPI nail varnish or something similar. My skin is softer and firmer thanks to this.
P – Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 1 % BHA gel. I’ve gone through about 7 samples of this (so about a 14-day treatment) and I have noticed dramatic changes to my skin. I will purchase this as soon as I start running out of Ole Henriksen products since I’ll probably have to set up a new skincare routine.
R – Real Techniques Blush Brush. I know you are probably a bit tired of me talking about this, but it’s honestly the softest, most perfect blush brush ever.
S – Sleek Blush by 3 – Pink lemonade. This is a great palette with two powder and one cream blush, almost an everyday staple for me. It’s also a great product to travel with and not worry if anything is going to break – I’ve dropped it twice now and there isn’t so much as a dent to speak of in it.
T – Tarte Amazonian Clay Mineral Bronzer. As you can see from the photo below, this is being well loved. It’s more of a yellow-brown, so I can’t really use this for contour, but it gives some depth to my face, making it one of my staple make-up products.
U – Urban Decay Naked palette. This is the palette that most people use for their everyday make-up, but for me, it’s my go-to palette when I want to create something special, otherwise I stick to my Too Faced Chocolate bar palette. There are some pretty unique colors in here, such as Hustle and Gunmetal.
V – Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love perfume. I haven’t had much luck with finding any VS products that would really work for me in the past few years, with the exception of this perfume. I don’t wear it on an everyday basis, since it’s quite sweet, but I will use it more in the autumn and winter time.
W – Wet n’ Wild Fergie eye primer. This I find to be an exact dupe for the Benefit primer potion, with the only exception that this particular one costs about 10 times less. Unfortunately, I can’t find an online store in Europe that would be selling it, but I’m not giving up the hunt.
Y – Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat. I’ve just written a whole post about it, which you can find here, but to sum it up – it’s a great highlighter which lasts all day and doesn’t crease at all. The only downside is the price, but this is a post about favorites, after all.
Z – Zoya Pixie Dust. This is actually a glitter top coat, but of course it could also be used on its own. It has pink and silver glitter in it and for some reason works great over almost any color for a bit of essential glitter in our lives.
That’s my A-Z favorites! For the first time, I’m actually tagging other people for this post – Moonchild beauty and Beauty of a Lemon (and of course all the rest of you that would love to do this tag!).
Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram (@low_maintenance_beauty) and tag me if you do this tag (no pun intended) and as always, stay beautiful.
O ful zanimiv post, dobra ideja, ta A to Z! 🙂
