Blogmas #15: Slovenian bloggers Secret Santa ***** Slovenske blogerke postanejo skrivne božičke

Opportunities for Slovenian beauty bloggers to connect in an informal way are rare, but this December we once again joined forces and organized a Secret Santa. Or better said, since we are all girls, Secret Clara. This year I again took on the role of organizing the whole thing which means I could not participate myself, but I enjoyed watching gifts other received and I was happy with them.

We set no limits or boundaries regarding the gifts – the girls can give whatever they want to each other, but it is important that they get to know the person they’re gifting to as good as possible. That way they can really put together a gift that is pretty, useful and makes the recipient happy.

Even though organizing such a project takes quite some work, it suits my character perfectly so I enjoy doing it. I’d like to show you some of best gifts that Slovenian beauty bloggers received from their Secret Claras this year.

Blogmas #14: What I got for Christmas? ***** Kaj mi je prinesel božiček?

Santa stopped by our house and I must admit that I was more excited to see Baby M open his gifts than I was about opening my own. Not because my gifts wouldn’t be great, but I was more happy to see him all excited, tearing the paper, playing with the ribbon and gushing over his building blocks and stuffed animals. But as I’ve been good all year long (or so they say), Santa also got me a few presents of my own.

The first gift was from me to myself, namely my L’Occitane advent calendar that certainly didn’t disappoint. I’m stocked up on hand creams for the year and I’ll also get to try some products that I haven’t tried before. I’m looking forward to a new calendar next year.

Be yourself, be different – with L’Occitane Arlésienne collection

I can’t believe that the Beautiful Bloggers meetup is really over for this year. I had an even better time this year, but truth be told, I need a day or two to process everything before I can summarize my thoughts into a nice, long post.

But I can talk for a moment about the theme of this years’ meetup: Be yourself … be an unicorn! Or, as someone put it even better: Be yourself. Unless you can be an unicorn – then always be an unicorn! I already spoke many times how I feel that it’s difficult to tell one beauty blog from another, since most of us write about similar products, shoot similar photos… there is no diversity.

And I plan to change that! I am making a promise to myself that I will make my blog different, unique and stand out from all others. I plan to keep that promise!

I was kind of motivated to write this post by L’Occitane. They are soon releasing a new Arlésienne collection and kindly gave us a sneak preview of the collection on Friday. The little package contained the Arlésienne Velvet Hand Cream and the Arlésienne delicious gloss, but more importantly, a challenge to be different. What was the challenge, you ask?

Well, I’m glad you asked. We all got a long, pink ribbon with the following instruction: “The decorative ribbon that Arlésienne woman (women from Arlese in the south of France) puts into her hair speaks a story about a bold woman, who is completely free. Each ribbon is unique and speaks its own language – the pattern on it is as unique as the woman who wears it in her hair.”

Lifestyle favorites

It’s been a really hard week last week and has not improved a great deal by now. A lot of my co-workers and my family got ill and I’ve had to sort out a lot of additional things, while at the same time running around my clients and generally being busy as I always am.

As I already mentioned, November is my least favorite month of the entire year and it is really hard to be excited about anything when being down. But there are some things in my life that brought smile to my face in the previous month and I would like to share them with you.

I know I’ve talked about these already and they are also included in my giveaway. But it gives me real comfort to come home and light a candle that brings a touch of warmth to your life. I generally like all of the Christmas collection and I will be burning it well into January.

I also got this last week… a bit of bragging never hurt anyone, right? I must admit it feels good that it’s finally over.

Below are some of the presents I bought for “my” children in the Santa for a day project. I am a firm believer in giving back since I count myself very lucky to have all the things I need in my life. If you missed your opportunity to participate this year, follow them on FB and make sure you sign up next year.

What is this, you ask? Why, it’s a PILE of felt 🙂

I always like to do some DIY presents during the Christmas season for the people who appreciate them. I am looking forward to actually finding the time to do them, but for now, just looking at these wonderful colors puts a smile on my face.

ext, my all time favorite scent, which I supersized on this month. I know, you can’t see it clearly – it’s Chloe by Chloe. Very original, I know, but to me, this smells of warm kisses, fuzzy socks, orchids and the feeling of a roasted chestnut bag in your hands.

Meet my favorite purse. I’ve had this for several years but it’s quite… different, so I usually only wear it in the winter when I can easily match it with a black, grey or beige coat. Each year, I splurge on one bag from Marjeta Grošelj (or I receive it as a gift, depends) and I’ve never regretted a single € spent. I think that while her bags are unusual, they are timeless and worth the splurge.

Last but not least, the one thing that made me smile is the Rafflecopter counter climbing up and up and up. I’m soo excited to announce the winners on Thursday! Make sure to enter if you haven’t yet!

Until next time, stay beautiful, stay awesome.
