Shopping for the men in my life is a challenge, to say the least. It’s not difficult to buy a gift for my hubby since he always needs something – new tires, a nice sweater, a massage or a new “toy” for his workshop. I never run out of ideas. But shopping for my male friends is more difficult since I often don’t know what they need and what they already own, seeing I don’t talk to them about this as I do with my girlfriends.

Nakupovanje za moške v mojem življenju je vsako leto izziv. Mojemu darila ni težko kupiti – vedno kaj potrebuje, pa naj bodo to nove gume, kakšen lep pulover, terapevtska masaža ali pa kakšna nova igrača za njegovo delavnico. Idej mi tu res ne manjka. Težje pa je kupovati za moje moške prijatelje, saj pogosto ne vem, kaj že imajo in kaj potrebujejo, saj se preprosto o tem z njimi ne pogovarjam toliko, kot z ženskami. 

Consequently, I often rely on my gut feeling – I buy something I feel they wouldn’t buy for themselves because they don’t need it that badly. Sometimes, I also buy things that they perhaps already use and a spare won’t do any harm. But in both cases, I try to make sure that I buy things that are actually useful and won’t just gather dust.

Posledično običajno kupujem po občutku – nekaj, kar se mi zdi, da si sami ne bi kupili, ker nujno ne potrebujejo, včasih pa tudi kaj, kar morda že uporabljajo, pa ne bo nič škodilo, če imajo še malo zaloge. Vedno pa se potrudim, da moja darila niso “praholovci” in so dejansko uporabna.

The first gift that completely amazed me this year is perfect for travelers who like to spread their wings and travel the world. Prvo darilo, ki me je letos čisto navdušilo, je namenjeno vsem popotnikom, ki radi razpnejo krila in se podajo po svetu. Next gift that I will be buying for a few of my friends this year are cosmetics. But not just any cosmetics – these are for their beard! I personally think that men can have beards as long as they take care of them so they don’t itch and scratch on our poor faces. Blogmas #2: Best gifts for her **** Najlepša darila zanjo

I’ll admit that shopping for women in my life isn’t particularly difficult. They love cosmetics, books, decorations, handmade articles – almost anything that I buy, carefully wrap up and set under the Christmas tree. But not all women are like that, am I right? You probably have at least one girlfriend, relative or coworker who is super difficult to shop for. If that’s the case, this is the perfect post for you and I really hope it helps you at least a bit!

Priznam, za ženske v mojem življenju ni preveč težko nakupovati. Vesele so kozmetike, knjig, darilc za okrasitev doma, ročnih izdelkov – skorajda česarkoli, kar jim skrbno zavijem in postavim pod smrečico. Vsekakor pa vse ženske niso takšne, kajne? Verjetno imaš vsaj eno prijateljico, sorodnico ali sodelavko, za katero nikoli ne veš, kaj bi ji podarila. V tem primeru je to popolna objava zate, jaz pa upam, da ti bo v pomoč!

Naturally, we’ll start with cosmeticcs. I think that I can always spot the prettiest holiday sets at L’Occitane and Le Couvent des Minimes. At L’Occitane, this year I’d recommend the Hugs and kisses Arlesienne set that contains a hand cream and lip balm from Arlesienne collection. I had the chance to try both and they are fantastic.

Začniva seveda pri kozmetiki. Najlepše praznične paketke imajo za moje pojme vedno pri L’Occitane in Le Couvent des Minimes. Pri L’Occitanu ti letos priporočam L’Occitane Objemi in poljubi Arlesienne, ki vsebuje kremo za roke in balzam za ustnice iz omenjene kolekcije. Oba sem imela priložnost preizkusiti in sta res fantastična.Izdelke L’Occitane lahko kupiš v njihovih trgovinah, preko spleta in v Maxiju.

Le Couvent des Minimes also presents a variety of options but I am a sucker for their hand creams which are fabulous. This set is perfect to try different ones and decide which one is the best for your skin.

Pri Le Couvent des Minimes pa imajo prav tako ogromno lepih kompletkov, mene pa najbolj navdušuje komplet kremic za roke, saj so res odlične. Ta komplet je odličen za preizkušanje različnih kremic in ugotavljanje, katera je najboljša za kožo vsakega posameznika. Le Couvent des Minimes je na voljo v Nami ter trgovinah Muller.

I could recommend dozens of make-up items, but I won’t do that. Among the new products I recently discovered, I’m loving the Artdeco Most Wanted palette that seems very similar to Urban Decay Naked 3. Of course, Urban Decay is a bit more difficult to come by in Slovenia and the price is much lower.

Seveda bi ti lahko priporočala desetine ličil, ampak tega ne bom storila. Med novostmi, ki so na naše police prišle v zadnjih tednih, pa me je že na prvi pogled najbolj navdušila paletka Most Wanted znamke Artdeco, ki mi deluje zelo podobna Naked 3 paleti Urban Decay. Seveda pa je do Urban Decay palet težko priti, Artdeco pa ti je dosegljiv preko njihove spletne strani in v drogerijah Muller, pa tudi cena je precej nižja.

Sticking with the topic of beauty, but with a twist. I present the Rondo Scented bracelet. That’s right, a scented bracelet. You can choose between six different scents (white musk, vanilla, rose…).

Še za trenutek ostaniva pri lepoti, ampak tokrat malo drugače. Predstavljam ti dišečo zapestnico. Tako je, dišeča zapestnica! Izbiraš lahko med šestimi različnimi vonji (muškat, vanilija, vrtica itd.), naprodaj pa so v trgovini Flat (Trubarjeva 8, Ljubljana) ali preko njihove spletne trgovine. 

A proper lady loves her jewelry and likes to display it. A perfect gift for her is a jewelry stand. There are countless in the market but I am loving the one above.

Za pravo damo, ki je nora na nakit in ga rada postavi na ogled, je odlično darilo stojalo za nakit. Na trgu jih je kar nekaj, mene je najbolj navdušilo zgornje, ki je dostopno v trgovinah 1001 dar ali preko njihove spletne trgovine. 

Another thing that I’m sure would benefit many is a sleep mask. I have been waiting for years for someone to gift it to me – if that doesn’t happen this year I’m buying the one above with Swarovski crystals for myself!

Še ena stvar, za katero sem prepričana, da bi marsikateri olajšala življenje, je maska za spanje. Tudi sama osebno že leta čakam, da mi jo bo kdo podaril – če se to letos ne zgodi, si bom zgornjo masko s Swarovski kristali podarila kar sama. Tudi ta je iz trgovine 1001 dar. 

Home decor is a must in December, but I like to look at pretty things all year round. And what could be nicer than some warm light by Happy Lights? These are available in a number of colors and a necessity in every home.

Okrasitev doma je v decembru nepogrešljiva, sama pa rada kaj lepega gledam celo leto. In kaj je lahko lepšega kot malo tople svetlobe, ki jo pričarajo Happy Lights lučke? Dosegljive so v Smile Concept Store in v njihovi spletni trgovini, izbirate pa lahko med ogromno različnimi barvami.

Last but not least is a gift for those who tend to get cold. I’m certainly one of them and I already own a very cute hot watter bottle that keeps me warm during cold winter nights.

 

Nenazadnje pa še nekaj za vse, ki jih rado zebe. Sama še sodim med njih in prav prisrčen termofor že imam, saj potrebujem nekaj, da me greje v mrzlih zimskih večerih. Termofor na slikici je iz trgovine 1001 dar.

These are my ideas for presents that the women in your life will surely love. If in doubt, I still consider a gift certificate a nice gift, but only if it’s put in a nice hand-made card and perhaps given with a box of home-mad cookies. Golden Rose event

Golden Rose brand recently celebrated its first year since bringing the brand to the Slovenian market. I’ve mentioned their products quite a lot on my blog already since Golden Rose brand has a wide variety of products and the prices are very reasonable.

Znamka Golden Rose je pred kratkim praznovala prvo leto, odkar so svoje izdelke pripeljali na slovenski trg. Na mojem blogu sem o znamki že večkrat spregovorila, ker gre za znamko s pestro ponudbo izdelkov in žepu prijaznimi cenami. 



Until now it was only easy for us girls from Ljubljana to get the Golden Rose products (in BTC Hala A and City Park), but this story changed a couple of months ago – now, you can buy their products in the online store Licila.si and shops in Celje and Velenje.

Do sedaj smo imele le Ljubljančanke ta privilegij, da smo z lahkoto lahko prišle do Golden Rose izdelkov (v BTC Hala A in City Parku), vendar pa se je zgodba bistveno spremenila nekaj mesecev nazaj – sedaj lahko namreč izdelke kupiš tudi v spletni trgovini Licila.si ter v trgovinicah v Celju in Velenju.


 

Along with my fellow beauty bloggers, I attended a birthday celebration of Golden Rose where we celebrated along Slovenian brand owner Enisa Musai, Gregor from online store Licila.si and make-up artist Mateja Pozeb.  We also had a chance to try out some new products from the offer but unfortunately the lighting was quite bad so photos don’t do justice to the products.

Tokrat smo se blogerke ob prvem rojstnem dnevu znamke Golden Rose družile z lastnico blagovne znamke Eniso Musai, Gregorjem iz spletne trgovine Licila.si ter vizažistko Matejo Pozeb. Wellness experience in hotel Špik: perfect pamering

As a beauty blogger, I sometimes get opportunities that I would not otherwise get – and sometimes, I get to visit places I probably wouldn’t find by myself. Last Friday, I had an amazing experience I want to tell you about.

On a gloom, rainy day, Tara, Gabi and I set of from Ljubljana via Kranjska Gora (more specifically, Gozd Martuljek) for an adventure. Greeted by sun on our arrival, we were in good spirits that were lifted even more by the kind and warm welcome from our hosts in Hotel Špik – Simona and Gordana.

Our hosts welcomed us in the Alpine wellness which, I’ll admit, I never heard of before I got the invitation for the event. First, we grabbed a bite of food to eat while Simona explained the concept of Alpine wellness to us. The food was organic and mostly made from home-grown ingredients. This is not a coincidence because healthy food represents one of the key benchmarks of wellness along with relaxation, beauty, cosmetics and nurturing the soul.

Do you see those cool drinks on the far right? They are made with glacier water which is pretty cool in my opinion. The hotel discovered a well in 2015 and after some analysis it became evident that this water is super clear since it doesn’t enter the ecosystem. They use it for pools and for different wellness rituals for face and body. I also got a feel for it, but more about that later.

The Alpine wellness in Hotel Špik is really unique and I can really imagine coming here with my girlfriends or for a hen night. There are five rooms through which you slowly move: confidence, love, creativity, harmony and love.

L’OCCITANOVA GARAŽNA RAZPRODAJA // L’OCCITANE GARAGE SALE (SLO & ENG)

Today, I wanted to share an amazing experience with you. I was invited by Stillmark (company that represents Melvita, L’Occitane and Le Couvent des Minimes) in Slovenia and Nika Veger from Beautyfullblog to attend their garage sale. But this time, it wasn’t about cosmetics. No, it was about some other things that beauty bloggers need 🙂

Danes želim s tabo deliti edinstveno izkušnjo. Stillmark, podjetje, ki pri nas zastopa znamke L’Occitane, Melvita in Le Couvent des Minimes, in Nika Veger z Beautyfullblog sta me povabila, da se predpremierno udeležim njihove garažne razprodaje. Vendar pa tokrat nisem kupovala kozmetike, ampak nekaj drugega, kar lepotne blogerke resnično potrebujemo 🙂

Near to Bauhaus in BTC Ljubljana (enter the adress Cilenškova ulica 42 in your GPS) stands a warehouse. L’Occitane filled that warehouse with every single decorative item they used in their stores in the past 15 years. That’s right. Every. Single. Item.
